Leslie Rutherford

Leslie Rutherford has had extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Leslie began their career at Blount Memorial Hospital in 1996 as a Program Coordinator. During this role, they organized the grand opening of the Wellness Center and delivered presentations on health education. Leslie then advanced to become the Assistant Director/Operations Manager of the Wellness Center before ultimately being promoted to Director of Wellness Centers in 2006. In addition to their work at the hospital, Leslie also served on the Board of Directors for the Blount County Chamber of Commerce in 2009 and the Board of Directors of Friends of the Library at Blount County Library from 2001 to 2004. Leslie was also a classmate at East Tennessee Regional Leadership Association in 2006.

Leslie Rutherford obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, from 1984 to 1986. Prior to this, Leslie completed high school at Centerville High School, earning a diploma in college-preparatory studies from 1979 to 1981.

Later, Leslie pursued further education and earned a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, between 1995 and 1999.

Outside of formal education, Leslie also gained experience at a place called "Experience the Smokies," although specific details about this experience, including the duration and field of study, were not provided.
