Maurice Blanks began their work experience as an Architectural Intern at Tigerman McCurry Architects in 1990. Maurice then joined Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture as an Associate in 1992. In 1995, they started their own firm called Maurice Blanks Architects, where they served as the Principal until 2002. In 1996, Maurice co-founded Blu Dot and became the Chief Operating Officer.
Maurice Blanks holds a Master of Architecture degree (MArch) from the University of Illinois Chicago. Maurice received a Bachelor's Degree in Fine/Studio Arts, General from Williams College. Maurice completed their high school education at Cate School.
