Jack Hangen

Principal Emeritus at Blu Ventures

Jack is a member emeritus at Blu Venture Investors and the executive director of Entec Ventures. He is a founder of Telogy Networks, acquired by Texas Instruments, and Dama Telecommunications, acquired by Data General/EMC Corp. He was also an executive at COMSAT Labs, a unit of Lockheed Martin acquired by Viasat Corp, and M/A-Com, now Hughes Network Systems.

Jack invests in early-stage companies that show clear customer traction, and encourages CEOs to seek customer input from the start. He understands that early-stage companies often need follow-on investment, which he likes to support if customer traction continues to grow. Jack is an advocate for environmental causes, particularly the protection of the Chesapeake Bay.
