Malaz Boustani

Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Blue Agilis

Malaz Boustani has a diverse and extensive work experience. Malaz is currently serving as the Chief Health Officer and Co-Founder at DigiCARE Realized, an AI-technology firm focused on modernizing care for brain diseases like Alzheimer's. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Care Innovation at Eskenazi Health and was also the Founding Director of the Center for Brain Care Innovation at the same organization. Malaz also co-founded and served as the Chief Scientific Officer at Blue Agilis.

Previously, they held the role of Chief Innovation and Implementation Officer at the Center for Health Innovation and Implementation Science, where they led a team to develop and implement innovations in healthcare. Malaz was also the Past-President of the American Delirium Society.

Malaz has a rich academic background as well. Malaz is a Richard M Fairbanks Professor of Aging Research at Indiana University School of Medicine and has been a Scientist at the Regenstrief Institute. Malaz has also held the position of Associate Director at the IU Center for Aging Research.

Additionally, Malaz has played a significant role in the Indianapolis healthcare community. Malaz served as the Chief Operating Officer and COO at the IU Center for Health Innovation and Implementation Science and was the Network Director at the Indianapolis Discovery Network for Dementia. Malaz has also worked as the Chief Innovation and Implementation Officer at Indiana University Health.

Malaz Boustani obtained a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Damascus University, where they studied from 1988 to 1994. Later, from 2000 to 2002, they pursued a Master's degree in Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
