Gerbrig Blanksma

Gerbrig Blanksma has extensive experience in the media industry, with a focus on sales and partnerships. Gerbrig is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of International Sales & Partnerships at Blue Ant Media since April 2020. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of International Program Sales and Licensing UK & EMEA at both Discovery Inc from June 2018 to April 2020 and Scripps Networks Interactive from February 2017 to June 2018. Gerbrig also worked at Off the Fence, starting as a Sales Executive in 2007 and progressing to roles such as Senior Sales Executive, Sales Manager, and ultimately Vice President of Sales & Business Development from July 2015 to January 2017. Gerbrig began their career at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in the Guest Services department in 2006.

Gerbrig Blanksma earned a Bachelor's degree in Film and Television studies from Utrecht University in 2005. In 2006, they completed their Master's degree in Creative Development/Dramaturgie from Utrecht University. Gerbrig also attended UC San Diego in 2003-2004 and focused on Visual Arts & Media, but did not receive a specific degree.
