Lisa Appleton is a seasoned culinary professional with extensive experience in recipe development and editorial management. Currently serving as Culinary Director at Blue Apron since January 2016, Lisa oversees a team responsible for creating and optimizing culinary content, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and collaborating cross-functionally to enhance product offerings. Previously held roles include Senior Culinary Manager, Recipe Writer Manager, and Associate Recipe Writer at Meredith, where Lisa edited food publications and managed content production. Early career experiences include roles at the San Francisco Chronicle and Columbia Missourian, showcasing a strong foundation in culinary arts and journalism. Lisa is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Food Business at The Culinary Institute of America, building upon an associate degree in Culinary Arts and a Bachelor’s in Magazine Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
