Katherine Kerr

Katherine Kerr is a Senior Research and Development Scientist at Blue Buffalo, focusing on the development and optimization of pet food products and novel nutrition technologies since October 2022. Concurrently, Katherine operates Dr Kerr Consulting, providing zoo nutrition consultation, and serves as an Adjunct Professor at Unity College, where coursework is designed to enhance student engagement. Previous experience includes a consultancy role at Fiesta Corporation, overseeing a new business arm's vendor account management, and serving as a Senior Nutritionist at San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, where dietary management was provided for over 7,000 animals across multiple species. Katherine's academic background encompasses a Ph.D. in Nutritional Science and a rich history of research and collaboration in animal nutrition and health during postdoctoral fellowships at both Walt Disney World Animal Programs and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
