Brian Nuel is an experienced mechanical engineer currently serving as the Principal Mechanical Engineer at Blue Canyon Technologies since June 2020, leading design and integration efforts for significant programs such as Blackjack (Darpa) and Tranche 1 Tracking Layer (SDA). Prior to this role, Nuel was a Principal Opto-mechanical Engineer at Magic Leap for a brief period and held various engineering positions including Director of Engineering and Lead Mechanical Engineer at Cool Energy, Inc. Nuel's earlier career includes opto-mechanical design roles at LASP with the University of Colorado, Network Photonics Inc., and Zolo Technologies, as well as product development positions at Embol-X, Inc. and AneuRx under Medtronic. Brian Nuel holds a Master's Degree and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
