Senior Design Engineer at Blue Cheetah Analog Design

Matthew Spencer has been working in the field of engineering since 2006. Matthew began their career as an Applications Intern at Analog Devices. Matthew went on to become a Graduate Student at MIT in 2006, and then a Graduate Student Intern at Intel in 2011. In 2012, they became a DLP Research Intern at Texas Instruments, and then a Graduate Student at UC Berkeley in 2008. In 2014, they became an Assistant Professor at Harvey Mudd College, and most recently, in 2021, they became a Senior Design Engineer at Blue Cheetah Analog Design, Inc. Throughout their career, they have taught digital system design, introduction to digital electronics, introduction to systems engineering, experimental engineering, introduction to analog design and high frequency circuit design. Matthew has also conducted research on underwater communication links and engineering education. Matthew has experience in custom circuit design of a wide range of digital and mixed signal systems using micromechanical devices, as well as model development for MEMS and circuit co-simulation at the block level and MEMS characterization.

Matthew Spencer completed their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2007. Matthew then pursued a M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from the same institution in 2007-2008. Subsequently, they received a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 2015.
