Brian Edwards

Brian Edwards has a diversified work experience. Brian started their career at EY as a Senior Auditor in September 1995 and worked there until January 1998. After that, they joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama, where they held various positions, including Vice President, Controller from January 1998 to October 2019. From October 2019 to March 2022, they served as Senior Vice President, Healthcare Networks. Currently, they are working as the Senior Vice President, Health Services at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama since April 2022.

Brian Edwards earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Samford University, which they attended from 1992 to 1995. In addition to their degree, Brian has obtained several certifications. In 1996, they became a Certified Public Accountant through the Alabama State Board of Public Accountancy. In 2020, Brian achieved the designation of Certified Management Accountant from the IMA | Institute of Management Accountants. Most recently, in May 2021, they completed the Business of Healthcare Certificate program offered in partnership with the Executive MBA at Emory University - Goizueta Business School.
