Connie Akins

Connie Akins, CPC, CRC, has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, currently serving as a Senior Provider Networks Consultant at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama since March 2017, following a role as Provider Networks Consultant since October 2012. Prior to this, Connie was the Administrator at Sawyer Surgery Clinic, LLC from August 2005 to October 2012, where key achievements included improving accounts receivable billing days and successfully transitioning to Electronic Medical Records. Earlier career experiences include serving as Assistant to a Social Worker at Agape of Central Alabama and as Office Manager at Home Care of Metroplex Hospital, where operational growth and staff management were central responsibilities. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Alabama and an Associate of Science degree in Business Administration from Enterprise State Community College.
