Linda Williams

Linda Williams is the Chief Audit Officer and Senior Vice President at Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA. Linda has over 15 years of experience in the health insurance industry.

Linda began their career in 2003 as the Director of Underwriting for Magellan Behavioral Health. In this role, they were responsible for pricing health risks for behavioral health policies for groups of 40,000 members to 1.7 million members. Linda also analyzed claims and utilization patterns to determine trends and pricing projections.

In 2005, Linda became a Senior Consultant at Medwise Partners Consulting. In this role, they handled pricing and rate development for health plans from $400 million to $1.2 billion in size. Linda also revamped and led the underwriting team of companies in distress by instituting underwriting standards, procedures, and process improvements. Additionally, they developed and executed due diligence analysis, persistency modeling, and rate analysis for mergers and acquisitions.

In 2008, Linda joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA as the Chief Audit Officer & Senior Vice President. In this role, they are responsible for leading the internal audit function and providing independent assurance to the Board of Directors and management on the adequacy and effectiveness of the organization’s risk management, control, and governance processes.

They work with Don Savery - General Counsel & Senior Vice President, Manny Lopes - EVP, Public Markets & Government Relations, and Sandhya Rao - Chief Medical Officer, Senior Vice President. Linda Williams reports to Andrew Dreyfus, President and Chief Executive Officer.
