Clarence Hartman has a varied work experience. Clarence started their career as a Business Process Consultant and later worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at Anthem, Inc. In 2013, they joined HighPoint Global, LLC as the Director of Finance, where they developed strategies for corporate financial planning and implemented finance and accounting policies. In 2013, they also joined Anthem, Inc. for the second time and held several roles, including Regulatory Reporting Accountant and Analyst. In 2015, they transitioned to the role of Enterprise Risk Management Business Consultant and later served as an Account Manager in Local Large Group Sales and Account Management. In 2021, they became the Segment CFO for Commercial Business at Blue Cross NC, and in 2023, they became a Small Business Owner at Blo Blow Dry Bar.

Clarence Hartman completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Technology at the University of Cincinnati from 2001 to 2007. Following this, they pursued a Masters degree in Business Administration at Purdue University from 2007 to 2009. Lastly, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Accounting from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis between 2014 and 2018.
