Nicole Stickel

Nicole Stickel is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in both public and private sectors. Currently serving as Managing Director of Communications at Blue Cross Blue Shield Association since January 2021, Nicole previously held roles as Director of External Communications at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma & Texas from July 2017 to January 2021 and as PR Media Lead. Prior experience includes positions at Edelman as Senior Account Supervisor, U.S. Department of Homeland Security as Assistant Press Secretary, The White House as Coordinator of Policy Correspondence, and Obama for America as Regional Field Director. Nicole holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government with a focus on Communication from the University of Iowa, earned in 2007.
