Michael L. Young

Michael L. Young has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Michael L. currently serves as the Director of Medicaid Business Intelligence & Analytics at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona. Prior to this, they held the position of Manager of Medicaid Business Intelligence at the same company.

Before joining Blue Cross Blue Shield, Michael worked at Health Choice Arizona, where they held multiple roles including Business Intelligence Manager, Sr. Healthcare Report Developer & Business Intelligence Analyst, Sr. Financial Operations Analyst, and Financial Operations Analyst.

Michael L. also worked at Novitex Enterprise Solutions (formerly Pitney Bowes Management Services) and Pitney Bowes Management Services as the Support Services and Office Operations Team Lead.

Earlier in their career, Michael served as the Manager of Support Services and Office Operations at Excel Staffing (Client: CBRE) and Operations Analyst / FSR at AppleOne Employment Services (Client: Xerox).

Michael's impressive career started with a Full-Time MBA / MHA Student role at the University of Utah, where they founded and served as President of the Future Healthcare Leaders of America (FHLA) student association. Michael L. also worked as an Intern with the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Utah Hospital.

Prior to their healthcare-focused roles, Michael served as the Manager of Document Services, Print Operations, and Mail Services at IKON Office Solutions.

Michael L. Young earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Leadership and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business in 2005. Prior to that, they completed an Associate of Science degree in Economics and an Associate of Science degree in Business from Salt Lake Community College in 2003. Michael L. then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Strategic Management, Operations, and Leadership, as well as a Master of Healthcare Administration (M.H.A.), both from the University of Utah in 2008.
