Uche Olekanma

Uche Olekanma, MD, MBA has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Uche is currently serving as the Vice President of Clinical Operations at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona. Prior to this, they held the position of Executive Medical Director at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma & Texas from 2018 to 2022. Uche also served as a Medical Director at the same company from 2016 to 2018. Dr. Olekanma's career started at Metro South Hospital in 2011, where they worked as an Internist until 2018. Before that, they worked as a Director at Affiliated Physicians Group from 2010 to 2016.

Uche Olekanma, MD, MBA completed their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Port Harcourt between 1981 and 1988. Uche then pursued a Board Certification in Internal Medicine from Cook County Hospital, which they obtained from 2003 to 2006. Uche later obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management between 2017 and 2021. Uche also holds an additional certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
