Derek Pluta

Derek Pluta currently serves as the Director of Enterprise Technology, Strategy, and Planning at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan since February 2023. Previously, Derek was a Strategic Partnerships Executive at Merative, where responsibilities included enhancing key business partnerships and managing client contracting processes. Prior to that, Derek worked at IBM, leading product innovation with notable success in the IBM Digital Health Pass initiative and serving as a pivotal liaison among various teams. Derek has extensive experience in account management and operations from roles at Truven Health Analytics and Thomson Reuters, where leadership involved overseeing project managers and strengthening client relationships. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Kettering University.
