Lillian Smiscik

Lillian Smiscik has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Lillian began their career as an Underwriting Intern at United Shore in 2017, where they were responsible for updating and communicating daily reports and summarizing the performance of underwriting teams. In 2018, they joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan as an Actuarial Intern, where they assisted in Medicare Advantage bid submissions and developed their skills in SAS and data analysis. Lillian then progressed to become an Actuarial Analyst, supporting individual Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement plans by completing membership reporting, risk corridor projections, and ad hoc studies. In 2021, they were promoted to Senior Actuarial Analyst, before eventually becoming an Actuarial Team Lead in 2023. Alongside their professional career, Lillian also worked as a Dance Instructor at Dancer's Edge Studio from 2014 to 2018, teaching various dance styles, providing individual guidance to students, and choreographing routines.

Lillian Smiscik completed their education at Oakland University from 2014 to 2018, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science. Lillian has also obtained various certifications from the Society of Actuaries, including Exam FM, Exam IFM, Exam LTAM, Exam P, Exam PA, Exam STAM, and FAP Modules and Final Assessment.
