Lin Nelson

Lin Nelson is a seasoned professional in public affairs and healthcare administration, currently serving as the Vice President of Public Affairs at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota since August 2006. In this role, Lin Nelson assesses healthcare issues from economic, stakeholder, and political perspectives to develop proactive campaigns and strategies that promote the health of all Minnesotans. Previously, Lin Nelson held several positions at the Minnesota Department of Health, including Director of Legislative Affairs and Chief Lobbyist, as well as Manager of Legislative Affairs. Lin Nelson also worked as the Environmental Health Director for the Prairie Island Indian Community from January 1994 to December 1995. Academic credentials include an MBA in Healthcare Administration from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from St. Olaf College.
