Russ Marsella has over 20 years of experience in various roles in the healthcare industry. Russ started their career as a Financial Analyst at National Medical Care in 1988 and worked there until 1990. Russ then moved on to Paradigm Medical where they served as a Financial Analyst until 1994. From 1995 to 2000, Russ worked at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, first as a Financial Analyst and later as a Project Manager. Since 2001, they have been with Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island, where they currently hold the position of Managing Director and Associate General Counsel. In this role, they are responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and analyzing contracts with providers and vendors, as well as managing complex vendor contracting.
Russ Marsella completed a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Computer Information Systems from Bryant University between 1984 and 1987. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration degree in Management from Bryant University, graduating between 1988 and 1991. Later, Russ attended Roger Williams University School of Law from 1997 to 2000, earning a Juris Doctor degree in Law.
