Michael Turner

Michael Turner, MS, serves as the EHS and Sustainability Manager at Blue Diamond Industries since September 2021, overseeing safety program development and implementation across four manufacturing sites. Prior to this role, Michael worked at the University of Kentucky, initially as a Project Manager for the KY Occupational Safety & Health Surveillance, where responsibilities included identifying high-risk industries and developing safety strategies. Michael also held the position of Safety Specialist, focusing on injury data review and training. Earlier experience includes serving as a Corporate Safety Specialist at Toyota Tsusho America and as a Safety and Hazardous Materials Supervisor at UPS, enhancing safety protocols and training initiatives. Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Safety, Security, & Emergency Management and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Eastern Kentucky University.
