Jelmer Laks

Jelmer Laks is a senior associate at Blue Dot Capital. Prior to joining Blue Dot, they were a project manager at Holland Startup, where they were responsible for the creation, management and optimization of the recruitment flow for Holland Startup. Jelmer has also worked as a research intern at the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) and as a research assistant in paleoceanography at Universiteit Utrecht. Jelmer holds a degree in physics from the University of Amsterdam.

Jelmer Laks has a Master of Science in Environmental Biology from Utrecht University, with marine biology and business minors. Jelmer also has an Honours Programme from Utrecht University Business Course in business and entrepreneurship. Jelmer's Bachelor of Science is in Biologie from Utrecht University, with an Earth Sciences minor. Jelmer also has a VWO degree from CSG Het Streek in the nature and health programme with a music minor. In addition, they have certification from The CPD Certification Service in Introduction to climate-related disclosures: Starting the climate journey and Understanding the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). Jelmer also has certification from DataCamp in Cleaning Data in Python, Importing Data in Python (Part 1) Course, Importing Data in Python (Part 2) Course, and Intermediate Python for Data Science Course.
