Jason Caughey

Jason Caughey has been the Fire Chief of Laramie County Fire Authority since 2011. Prior to arriving in Cheyenne Jason was the Fire Chief of Gore Hill Fire Rescue in Great Falls Montana for six years and a Regional Training officer for Montana Fire Service Training School. Chief Caughey is a published author and national speaker on organizational leadership and fire dynamics. Prior to Jason’s fire service career, he spent 13 years working for Scheels All Sports where he worked his way up the corporate ladder to become a Store Manager and Corporate Buyer. Jason has an Associate's and bachelor’s degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University and is currently working on earning his master’s degree in public administration with an emphasis in emergency services. Chief Caughey enjoys traveling, skiing, and SCUBA diving with his wife KD and their dog MOE.
