Peter Staples

Peter Staples is the Chief Information Security Officer at Blue Foundry Bank since October 2020, focusing on customer information security, policy development, compliance monitoring, and disaster recovery strategies. Prior to this role, Peter served as Managing Director at MUFG in the Americas from 2006 to March 2020, overseeing strategic planning and an $80M budget, as well as modernizing data operations. Peter's earlier experience includes directing a cross-border team at CIBC World Markets to develop data warehousing solutions, consulting at Prudential Financial for data architecture, and serving as a Data Architect at Pershing. Peter began a career in finance as a Commodity Floor Trader. Educational qualifications include a certificate from a selective IT management program at CHUBB, a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Earlham College, and a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Arizona.
