Kate French is an experienced policy advocate currently serving as the Deputy Director of Transmission Policy at the BlueGreen Alliance since March 2021, focusing on advancing transmission policy for a clean economy and high-quality union jobs. Prior roles include advocating for just transition and clean energy at the Western Organization of Resource Councils and leading research on coal ash cleanup impacts at the Northern Plains Resource Council. French has a background in conducting feasibility studies for agricultural community projects and policy research involving climate change communication at Montana State University-Bozeman. Additionally, French has held various leadership roles within the Northern Plains Resource Council, including state board chair. Kate French holds a Master of Public Administration from Montana State University-Bozeman.
