Daniel Angerhausen is a prominent figure in the field of exoplanet research and science communication, currently serving as the project office and science working group lead for the LIFE Space Mission at ETH Zürich since March 2020. With a background as a founder and executive director of Explainables Science Communication since September 2016, Angerhausen also holds roles as a senior researcher and initiative lead at the Blue Marble Space Institute of Science. Formerly, Angerhausen has contributed as an associate editor for Frontiers in Astronomy and Space Sciences and has been involved with several prestigious organizations, including NASA's Frontier Development Lab and the SETI Institute. Angerhausen's academic credentials include a Dr. rer. nat. in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of Stuttgart and a Diplom in Physics from the University of Cologne.
