Lars Sandberg

Lars Sandberg is an experienced executive with a strong focus on innovation and sustainable development within the packaging and forestry sectors. As CEO of Blue Ocean Closures since December 2021, Lars has spearheaded initiatives towards eco-friendly solutions. Previous roles include Innovation Manager at BillerudKorsnäs, where Lars managed technical projects such as the Paper Bottle and led the development of new fiber-based products. Lars also served as CEO of Exonera AB and was a partner at TRÄ, which provided a platform for innovative design in wood products. With a background that includes positions at FPInnovations, Dotank AB, Stora Enso, and Tetra Pak, coupled with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Lars has a rich history of fostering innovation and collaboration across industries.
