Andrés Zoppelletto

Andrés Zoppelletto has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Andrés is currently working at Blue Orange Digital as an Engineering Manager since April 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Lead Data Engineer at the same company from August 2021 to April 2023.

Before joining Blue Orange Digital, Andrés held various positions at DIRECTV Latin America. From October 2019 to January 2022, they worked as the Head of Big Data, where they designed the Big Data strategy and collaborated with teams to implement new tools and technologies for data democratization within the company. From November 2016 to October 2019, they served as the Chief of Data Management/Analytics & Reporting, responsible for the data platform supporting the Trust Rating Solution and DirectGO analytics data repository. Andrés also played a key role in defining and managing the multi-country Data Platform.

Prior to these positions, Andrés worked as the Chief of Datawarehouse & Business Intelligence from May 2012 to November 2016, Datawarehouse & Business Intelligence Leader from April 2008 to April 2012, and Senior Business Intelligence Analyst from September 2007 to March 2008, all at DIRECTV Latin America.

Before joining DIRECTV, Andrés worked at Ternium as a Technical Business Analyst from July 2005 to August 2007, where they were responsible for SQL server development and maintenance, data warehouse management, and cube production for Ternium Siderar Argentina.

Andrés started their career at Linde Gas as a Business Intelligence Consultant from December 2002 to June 2005. In this role, they worked on database administration, scripting, data warehouse management, cube production, and reporting for various companies.

Andrés began their professional journey at Cablevisión - Fibertel as a Technical Support Professional from July 1999 to March 2003, providing technical support to end-users and companies, network and internet applications management, and domain registration.

Andrés Zoppelletto has a strong background in data management, business intelligence, and technical support. Andrés has held various leadership positions and demonstrated expertise in designing data strategies, managing data platforms, and implementing new technologies.

Andrés Zoppelletto began their education in 1999 at the Universidad Abierta Interamericana, where they pursued a degree in IT Systems Engineering. Andrés completed this degree in 2015, specializing in Information Systems. In 2017, they attended the Universidad de Palermo for the BigData & Analytics Executive Program, which they completed the same year.

In addition to their formal education, Andrés Zoppelletto has obtained various certifications throughout their career. In 2005, they obtained the Cognos Partner Certification Program from IBM Cognos. In 2012, they achieved the ITIL Foundations V3 certification from EXIN, Examination International (Prometric authorized testing center). More recently, Andrés obtained the Oracle Autonomous Database Cloud 2019 Certified Specialist designation from Oracle in July 2020.

Andrés has also pursued continuous learning and professional development by earning multiple certifications from online platforms. In October 2019, Andrés completed the Pensamiento estratégico course from Harvard ManageMentor. In the same month, they acquired the New Manager Foundations, Transitioning from Individual Contributor to Manager, Big Data Foundations: Techniques and Concepts, and Onboarding New Hires (2014) certifications from LinkedIn. Later in November 2019, they obtained the Become a Manager, Coaching and Developing Employees, Performance Management: Setting Goals and Managing Performance, and Delegating Tasks certifications from LinkedIn. Additionally, they completed the Leading Productive Meetings, Learning Python, and Developing a Learning Mindset certifications, all in October 2019, via LinkedIn.

In 2021, Andrés Zoppelletto continued their learning journey by obtaining several certifications. In September 2021, they acquired the Understanding the Impact of Deepfake Videos certification from LinkedIn. In October 2021, they completed the Data Engineering Foundations certification from LinkedIn. Moreover, in November 2021, they earned the SQL Basic and SQL (Intermediate) certifications from HackerRank. Most recently, in January 2022, Andrés obtained the dbt Fundamentals certification from dbt Labs.
