Avinash Vaidheeswaran

Avinash Vaidheeswaran is a Sr. Fluid Systems Engineer at Blue Origin since November 2022, previously serving as a Fluid Systems Engineer in Advanced Development Programs. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Engineer and ORISE Research Fellow at the National Energy Technology Laboratory from June 2016 to November 2022. Avinash has an extensive academic background, having completed a Postdoctoral Research Associate position at Purdue University from August 2009 to May 2016, where mathematical modeling of transient two-phase flows and verification of two-fluid model codes were key focuses. Avinash also worked as a Research Assistant specializing in stability analysis of two-phase bubbly flows. In addition, Avinash gained experience as a Summer Research Intern at IIT Madras in 2008, concentrating on droplet combustion characteristics. Avinash holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and a B.Tech from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli.
