Nate Scholten

Director, In-space Engine Programs at Blue Origin

Nate Scholten is an accomplished aerospace engineer with extensive experience in propulsion systems and engineering leadership. Currently serving as the Director of In-Space Engine Programs at Blue Origin since June 2024, Nate previously held various roles at ABL Space Systems, including Advisor and Director of Propulsion. At Relativity Space, Nate was the Sr. Manager of Combustion Devices and Director of Propulsion, while at Aerojet Rocketdyne, Nate excelled as Program Chief Engineer and led qualification testing for the Boeing Starliner Service Module. Nate's foundational experience includes leading multi-disciplinary teams in the development of advanced propulsion technologies and conducting research in hypersonic vehicle design. Scholten holds both a Master’s and Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan.
