Omar Vázquez

Omar Vázquez is a skilled engineer with extensive experience in propulsion systems and structural engineering. Currently serving as a BE-7 and BE-3PM Propulsion Test Engineer at Blue Origin since September 2022, Omar previously worked as a Research Assistant at the Center for Aerospace and Exploration Technology Research, where responsibilities included performing stiffness and stress analyses and designing spacecraft components. Internship experience at NASA involved generating documentation for thrust chamber components and researching additive manufacturing processes. Earlier roles encompassed various engineering support positions, including work in concrete structures, pipe testing, and heavy machinery operations. Omar holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso, as well as an Associate of Science in Mechanical Engineering from El Paso Community College.
