Anna Isserow is an experienced professional with a strong background in grants management, development, and agricultural processes. Currently serving as Grants Manager at Blue Ridge Area Food Bank since January 2022, Anna previously held the position of Development and Communications Coordinator at Community Investment Collaborative. Anna's earlier roles include Program Facilitator at Adirondack Harvest, where responsibilities involved branding and marketing initiatives, and Team Member at Hub on the Hill, focusing on food processing and grant writing. Additional experience includes managing farm operations at Whitehall Farm and providing agricultural support through various positions, including Operations Manager for Greenhorns and Full Season Farm Apprentice at Fuller Overlook LP. Anna holds a B.S. in Environmental Policy and Planning, a B.A. in Political Science, and a minor in Civic Agriculture and Food Systems from Virginia Tech.

Founded in 1981, the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank is the largest organization alleviating hunger in western and central Virginia. Headquartered in Verona, VA, we serve neighbors in need in 25 counties and nine cities through distribution centers in Charlottesville, Lynchburg, Winchester and Verona. We distribute nearly 22 million pounds of food annually to 109,500 people each month through a network of more than 400 community partners – food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, schools, churches and other non-profit groups.
