Marten Leijon has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries. Marten started their career in 1993 as a Manager of Quantitative Analytics at Trygg-Hansa, where they oversaw risk analytics and developed analytical models. Marten then joined McKinsey & Co. in 1995 as an Engagement Manager, where they led client engagements and focused on advanced analytical approaches.
Leijon's next role was as Vice President of the Profit Enhancement Group at ABN AMRO in 1998, where they worked on improving the company's profitability. Marten then joined the Corporate Executive Board in 1999 as a Managing Director, where they led different practices and was responsible for product strategy and revenue growth.
In 2008, Leijon became a self-employed consultant, advising clients on growth, innovation, and strategy execution. Marten also worked as the Chief Executive Officer at Microfinance Information Exchange (MIX) from 2009 to 2014.
Leijon then joined CARS as a Board Director from 2012 to 2014. Currently, they are working at Blue Ridge Partners as a Managing Director, where they are recognized for their expertise in accelerating profitable revenue growth and delivering tangible results. Marten also holds the role of Managing Director of Analytics and New Offer Innovation at Blue Ridge Partners.
Marten Leijon attended the Stockholm School of Economics from 1989 to 1993, where they earned an MSc in Finance and Financial Economics. In 1992, they briefly studied Finance and Economics at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
