Smruti Amarjyoti is a Senior Machine Learning Research Engineer at Blue River Technology, specializing in deep learning applications for construction and agriculture robotics since June 2022. Prior to this role, Smruti worked as a Deep Learning Research Engineer at Iris Automation Inc., focusing on drone automation from January 2020 to May 2022. As the Founding Machine Learning Engineer at Scotty Labs from June 2018 to October 2019, Smruti contributed to the development of an object segmentation and depth extraction pipeline for autonomous vehicle control, a project that was acquired by DoorDash. Earlier experience includes a Robotics Researcher position at Carnegie Mellon University's Robotics Institute under Professor Chris Atkeson from October 2017 to May 2018 and a research internship at the University of Plymouth's Center for Robotics and Neural Systems. Smruti holds a Master of Science in Machine Learning and Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University, a Master of Science in Robotics from the University of Plymouth, and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology.
