Anupama Navaneethan

Anupama Navaneethan has a diverse range of work experience in the field of data and analytics. Currently, they serve as a Solution Design Lead - Data and Analytics at Blue Shield of California since July 2021. Prior to this, Anupama worked at Kaiser Permanente as a Senior Data Consultant from December 2019 to July 2021. In this role, they were responsible for ensuring the Azure Synapse DW provides reporting and analytics capabilities for the National Consumer Sales Analytics team. Anupama also provided guidance to data analysts for the design and development of Power BI Dashboards.

Before joining Kaiser Permanente, Anupama held various positions at Bank of America. From January 2016 to June 2017, they worked as a Product Strategy Analyst (Assistant Vice President), managing high-visibility projects and leading data analysis efforts. Anupama extensively used SQL for data analysis and made recommendations on product features. From June 2013 to December 2016, they served as a Tech Project Consultant (Officer), and from December 2010 to June 2013, they worked as a Business Technical Analyst (Tech Manager).

Anupama also gained experience as a Software Engineer at OptionsXpress Holdings Inc from December 2007 to December 2010. Anupama worked in an agile development environment, contributing to online options trading platform development using SQL and web services. Additionally, they worked as a Consultant at Keane Inc from August 2007 to December 2007, implementing enhancements for dialysis clinics.

Anupama started their career as a Software Engineer at Barry-Wehmiller International (B-WI) from July 2004 to December 2005, where they designed and developed web and windows applications using various technologies such as ASP, ASP.net, MS-SQL Server 2000, VB Script, Java Script, C#, and VB.

Anupama Navaneethan's education history is as follows:

Anupama completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Science from the University of Madras from 2000 to 2004.

Following their undergraduate studies, Anupama pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology, graduating in the year 2007.

In 2017, Anupama enrolled in the UC Berkeley Extension and completed a Certificate Program in Data Science, which spanned from 2017 to 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Anupama also obtained certifications to further enhance their skills and knowledge. Anupama became a Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer in June 2021 through Microsoft. In September 2019, they also completed the Data Scientist with Python Track certification from DataCamp.
