Mariela M.

Mariela M. is a seasoned marketing communications professional currently serving as a Marketing Communications Specialist Consultant at Blue Shield of California since March 2024. Prior experience includes the role of Marketing Manager for Health Systems at Quest Diagnostics from December 2021 to January 2023, and a combination of marketing management and senior specialist roles at Montefiore Health System between April 2016 and November 2021. Mariela began a career in marketing at Cambridge University Press & Assessment in various positions from December 2013 to April 2016, following earlier experiences as an Educational Facilitator with the NYC Department of Education and an intern at Childline KZN. Mariela holds a Master’s degree in Liberal Studies with a focus on Latin American, Caribbean, and Latino Studies from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and History from Connecticut College, complemented by studies in Art, History, and the Silk Road at Xi'an International Studies University.
