Marilyn Milano has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Marilyn started their career at National Health Foundation as a Program and Education Specialist, where they supported various training programs and developed partnerships. Marilyn then moved on to L.A. Care Health Plan, where they served as a Quality Improvement Specialist and later as a Quality Improvement Project Manager, overseeing initiatives to improve service and provider incentives. Marilyn then joined Molina Healthcare as a Project Manager, responsible for CAHPS improvement initiatives and increasing member portal usage. Currently, they are working at Blue Shield of California as an Operational Program Manager, Principal, focusing on health equity programs.

Marilyn Milano began their education at UCLA, where they pursued a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Latin American Studies. Marilyn completed their undergraduate studies in 2008.

Recently, Marilyn has enrolled in The George Washington University to pursue a Master's degree in Public Health. Their studies in this field began in 2021 and are expected to continue until 2023.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Marilyn has obtained certifications. In May 2022, they completed the Social and Behavioral Research certification through the CITI Program. Prior to that, in September 2020, they obtained the Professional Academy Healthcare Management (PAHM) certification through America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP).
