Michael Ellis

Michael Ellis has extensive work experience in various legal and corporate roles. Michael started their career as a Summer Associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in 1996. Michael then moved on to Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where they worked as an Associate, handling corporate and technology transactions, including licensing agreements and public equity offerings. In 2000, they became the Head of Legal at Fandango before joining Davis Polk & Wardwell as an Associate, specializing in corporate law, private equity investments, and mergers and acquisitions. In 2003, Ellis joined Blue Shield of California as the Deputy General Counsel and later served as the Vice President of Corporate Development. Michael also served as a Board Observer at Gemini Health and Cricket Health starting in 2020.

Michael Ellis completed their education from 1986 to 1997. Michael attended Thomas Jefferson High School for Science & Technology from 1986 to 1990. Afterward, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. Following their undergraduate studies, Michael pursued a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, from 1994 to 1997. In addition to their educational background, they also obtained membership in the California State Bar in 1997.
