Henk Rogers

Founder at Blue Startups

Henk Rogers has a long and varied work history. In 1996, they founded and served as CEO and Founder of Blue Planet Software, Inc., managing a prominent computer game including licensing, quality control, and research and development. In 2005, they became Chairman and Founder of Avatar Reality. From 2010 to 2022, they served as Chief Executive Officer of Blue Planet Energy. From 2014 to 2017, they were Director of Pacific International Space Center for Exploration Systems, Chairman of the same organization in 2014, and Founder and Director of IMA (International MoonBase Alliance), where they were focused on building prototypes in Hawaii and robotically building a MoonBase on the Moon. In 2016, they were a Member of the Board of Governors for NSS (National Space Society), and in 2015 they were Director of AREI (American Renewable Energy Institute) and Founder of Blue Startups.

Henk Rogers received an Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2015. Henk also attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa from 1973 to 1976, studying Computer Science. Prior to that, they attended Stuyvesant High School from 1968 to 1972.
