Bill Dawson has an extensive background in the mining and construction industry, with experience working as a mechanic for various companies in Western Australia. Bill started the Port Hedland Branch for Force Equipment and managed and grew the Port Hedland Workshop & Hire division in the Pilbara region. Bill also worked as a Field Service Mechanic for Force Equipment in the Goldfields, a Team Leader Mechanic for BGC Contracting in Kalgoorlie, and a Contract Mechanic for Precision Mechanic around the Goldfields. Bill also served as a Maintenance Mechanic for Cooks Construction. Bill attended Ashburton College from 1984 to 1988.
