Paul Nicholson

Paul Nicholson is an accomplished engineering and technology professional with extensive experience in diverse leadership roles across multiple sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering and Head of Platform Infrastructure at BlueCove Limited since January 2019, Nicholson has previously held significant positions including Deputy Director of Technology Operations at Government Digital Service, where the focus was on advancing reusable code patterns and infrastructure for the GDS transformation project. Prior roles include Head of Infrastructure & Operations at Wowcher, Head of DevOps at AsianLogic, and Manager of Platform Operations at Betfair, where operations supported the UK's premier online gaming platform. Nicholson’s career began as a Systems Administrator at IconMedialab, leading to positions such as Head of IT at MBAM LLP and Head of Infrastructure at Endeavour Capital LLP. Educationally, Nicholson holds a BA in Philosophy and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Sussex.
