Tracy McDowd

Tracy McDowd, PharmD, FAMCP, is the Director of Clinical Pharmacy at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee since June 2020, having previously served as Manager of Clinical Pharmacy at the same organization. McDowd’s extensive experience includes roles as Clinical Pharmacist in Medicare Formulary Operations at Optum from January 2017 to June 2020, and Senior Regulatory Consultant - Pharmacist at HCA from January 2014 to January 2017. Prior positions include Director of Clinical & Quality Services at Health to You (H2U) and Clinical Pharmacist at HealthSpring. McDowd began a career in pharmacy as a Pharmacy Intern at Metro Medical from 2003 to 2009 and completed a PGY1 Managed Care Pharmacy Residency at HCA. Academic qualifications include a PharmD from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (2005-2009) and a B.S. in Biology from Lipscomb University (2000-2004).
