James McClearen

James McClearen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. James started their career as a Research Engineer at Georgia Institute of Technology in 2001 and later joined Georgia Tech Research Institute as a Design Engineer. In 2005, they moved to Toyota Technical Center as a Powertrain CAE/Design Engineer and then transitioned to Toyota Motor Corporation in 2006 in the same role. In 2008, they joined Badenoch LLC as a Senior Engineer and later became the Chief Engineer. James then moved to AVL in 2012, where they held multiple positions including Technical Specialist, Group Leader - Design, and Chief Engineer. In 2019, they joined blueflite as CTO and in 2021, they became an Adjunct Associate Research Scientist at the University of Michigan. Currently, James serves as the CEO of darkflite, starting from August 2022. Additionally, they are also the Owner of Struktur Dynamik LLC since 2012.

James McClearen has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering, which they obtained from the Georgia Institute of Technology. James completed this degree between 1998 and 2003. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, which they completed between 2003 and 2004.
