Darren Womacks

Darren Womacks currently serves as the Vice President of Manufacturing at BlueHalo, a role assumed in August 2023. Previously, Darren was the System Engineering Manager at Sandia National Laboratories from November 2017 to March 2023, where responsibilities included overseeing the design and certification of high-reliability systems for national defense in collaboration with the Department of Energy and Department of Defense. From July 2008 to May 2017, Darren held the position of Vice President of Operations at UNIRAC, Inc., leading over 15 product launches in the solar industry. Earlier experience includes operations management at General Mills, where Darren was involved in large-scale manufacturing and efficiency projects, and roles in the US Navy, including Shift Engineer and Submarine Officer, overseeing teams in nuclear power operations. Darren holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and an MBA from The University of New Mexico, along with specialized training in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
