Enrique Fernández Casado

Enrique Fernández Casado has a strong background in engineering and technology roles. Enrique is currently working at BlueLabs as the CTO, a role they started in December 2022. Prior to this, they were at Kivra where they held the position of Principal Engineer/Engineering Manager from November 2021 to December 2022, and earlier as a Software Engineer from August 2021 to November 2021.

Before joining Kivra, Enrique worked at BlueLabs as the VP of Engineering from January 2019 to August 2021. Enrique also has experience at Derivco Spain as the Head of Development from November 2018 to January 2019, and as a Lead Architect from October 2018 to November 2018.

Enrique has also gained experience at Derivco Sweden, where they worked as a Lead Architect from June 2017 to October 2018. Enrique also held the roles of Software Architect from October 2016 to June 2017 and Software Architect (Consultant) from April 2016 to September 2016.

Prior to these roles, Enrique worked as a Technical Lead at Erlang Solutions Ltd. from December 2012 to October 2016. Enrique also briefly served as a Backend Developer (Consultant) at HappyTail AB in February 2016 and DevOps (Consultant) at Klarna from February 2015 to January 2016.

Enrique's early career includes a teaching assistant role at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) from September 2013 to June 2015 and a research engineer position at Ericsson from June 2011 to December 2012, where they worked on distributed systems, cloud computing, and related technologies.

Enrique Fernández Casado completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, specializing in Management, from Universitat Rovira I Virgili in 2009. Enrique continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science and Security in 2011. Enrique also pursued studies in Business Sciences at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, although the duration and completion date are not specified.

In addition to their formal education, Enrique Fernández Casado obtained several certifications. In 2013, they received the Erlang Foundation Certificate from Erlang Solutions Ltd. Enrique also completed the course "Functional Programming Principles in Scala" in May 2013 and "Computing for Data Analysis" in February 2014, both offered by Coursera.
