Ara Lawrence

Ara Lawrence has worked in a variety of roles since 2008. In 2008, Ara worked as a Vegetation Management at JTI Commercial Services. From 2009 to 2010, Ara was a Teacher's Assistant at Spring Arbor University and a Planogram Team Member at Target. In 2013, Ara was a Student Pastor at the Reformed Church of Highland Park. In 2014, Ara was an Office Associate at Labyrinth Books. In 2015, Ara attended General Assembly and participated in a Web Development Immersive program. From 2016 to 2019, Ara worked as a Test Engineer at OpenCar at INRIX, a Software Development Engineer at ioCurrents, and a Web Developer | Freelance. Currently, Ara is a Software Engineer at BlueOcean, where they work on backend services, design and create APIs and automated systems, collaborate with a high performing team, and develop solutions to interesting problems.

Ara Lawrence attended Grand Rapids Community College from 2006 to 2007. From 2007 to 2010, they attended Spring Arbor University, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree. From 2011 to 2014, they attended Princeton Theological Seminary, where they earned a Master of Divinity (M.Div.). In 2015, they attended General Assembly for Web Development.
