Zainab Yusuf

Zainab Yusuf has a diverse range of experiences in policy analysis and research. Zainab has worked as an Analyst at Blueprint, starting in August 2022. Prior to this, they held the same role at Blueprint from March to June 2022. Zainab also worked as a Research and Policy Analyst at The Better Canada Initiative from September 2020 to March 2022. Zainab gained experience as a Volunteer Ambassador at the Region of Peel from July 2020 to September 2021, where they played a pivotal role in post-COVID 19 response initiatives. Additionally, Zainab was a Fellow at Young Leaders for Active Citizenship (YLAC) in 2018, focusing on alleviating farmers' distress in Maharashtra and authoring a policy brief for the Indian Congress party and the Parliament. Starting their career as an Intern at Asia Society in 2016, Zainab reported on policy round table meetings involving high-level officials.

Zainab Yusuf completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy from FLAME University, attending from 2014 to 2018. Afterward, they pursued further education at The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education at Toronto Metropolitan University, where they obtained a Certificate in Public Administration and Leadership starting from 2020. In addition to their formal education, Zainab has also obtained several certifications. In January 2021, they completed the certification in "Data Science: Visualization" from HarvardX. Prior to that, in August 2020, they obtained a certification in "Data Science: R Basics" from the same institution. Most recently, in February 2023, they acquired the certification in "Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (TCPS 2: CORE 2022)" from the Panel on Research Ethics.
