Freek Schuur has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Freek started their career as a Student at Royal Hoogovens, where they gained valuable experience. Freek then moved on to work at Medtronic, where they held various roles including Qualification Engineer, (Sr.) Design Transfer Engineer, and Project Lead Operations/Manufacturing Implementation. At Medtronic, Freek led a multi-functional team responsible for implementing new products in manufacturing facilities. Freek then joined BASF as a Team Leader Project Engineering, where they managed the Project Engineering Department and the project portfolio. After their tenure at BASF, Freek worked at Frames as a Project Leader, leading a multidisciplinary team in the oil and gas industry. Currently, Freek serves as a Project Manager at Busch Vacuum Pumps and Systems, overseeing projects. In 2021, they also took on the role of Project Manager at BluePrint Automation. Overall, Freek Schuur brings extensive project management experience and has worked in various industries throughout their career.
Freek Schuur obtained their Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Measurement and Control from Delft University of Technology. Freek attended the university from 1992 to 1998. Freek later pursued a course in Project Management, specifically the Prince2 Foundation and Practitioner, which they completed in 2004. Additionally, they pursued education in business administration, completing a Higher Vocational Education program at Leergang Bedrijfskunde Arnhem from 1999 to 2002.
