Mark A Thompson has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Mark A is currently the Vice President of Service and Aftermarket Americas at BluePrint Automation (BPA), a position they have held since November 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Service and Aftermarket Manager Americas at BPA from August 2018 to November 2019. Mark A also worked as the Director of Automation at Liberty Technical Services starting from November 2018. In addition, Mark owns Thompson Farms since December 2012 and Thompson Properties since August 2011. Mark A has also worked as an Automation Engineer for a contracted project from July 2018 to October 2018, and as a Technical Consultant Special Project at Halder Process Solutions from June 2018 to July 2018.

Before that, Mark worked at Rudy L Hawkins Electrical, where they held the positions of President of Automation and Controls from September 2017 to June 2018, and Vice President from February 2016 to September 2017. Mark A also has experience working at Rockwell Automation as a Field Service employee from February 2013 to February 2016. Mark's earliest work experience includes working as a Master Electrician at Rudy L Hawkins Electrical from January 2007 to February 2013, where they were involved in various projects in pharmaceutical and other chemical processes, handling tasks such as instrumentation, automation, AC and DC systems, maintenance, and supervision.

Mark A Thompson completed a four-year program in Industrial Electricity at VECAP from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, they participated in the Rockwell Automation Field Service Program, focusing on Automation Engineer Technology/Technician. Later, they pursued further education in Advanced Hardware, specifically in Liquid cooled Frame C, Heat Pipe, and Sync Motors, through the Rockwell Automation Medium Voltage Advanced Harware program. Lastly, Mark completed the Level One program at the Rockwell Automation Medium Voltage School, specializing in Starters, SMC, PowerFlex 7000 A and B.
