Software Engineer at BluePrint Automation

Michiel van Winkel has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and automation. Michiel began their career as a Stagiair Software Engineering at Trapo Group in 2013, where they gained experience in robot programming, Siemens PLC programming, and Delphi application development. In 2015, they worked as an Afstudeerder Controls Engineering at BluePrint Automation. Here, they focused on controls engineering and completed their graduation project. Later that year, they joined Rohaco Industrial Handling as a Software Engineer, where they were responsible for PLC and motion technology projects, including being the product owner of the in-house developed Rohaco Robot. Michiel utilized Siemens S7 / TIA Portal / Siemens Motion / Lenze Motion. In 2020, they moved on to Trapo Group as a PLC Software Engineer, working on PLC projects in production automation, specifically using Siemens TIA Portal and Siemens motion (Sinamics). Michiel's most recent position is as a Software Engineer at BluePrint Automation since 2023, where they work on projects in the packaging industry, focusing on Delta robots and Pick&Place machines.

Michiel van Winkel began their education in 2006 at UniC Utrecht, where they completed their HAVO degree in Natuur & Techniek in 2011. Michiel then furthered their education at Hogeschool van Utrecht from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Industriële Automatisering.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Michiel also obtained a certification in B-VCA from Koninklijke PBNA in July 2013.
